How do I unjam my Airsoft gun, its stopped firing, I think the BB are jamming?
This can sometimes happen when you use a low quality BB or if there is something wrong with your gun. Once you have cleared your barrel I would suggest switching to a higher quality BB such as ASG 0.20g BB, or NUPROL 0.20g BB. As for un-jamming your replica I would suggest using an unjamming rod to clear the barrel. The unjamming rod is the big long grey stick you usually get in the box with the bb gun, simply place this down the barrel of your gun and give a sharp short push against the BB. If they don't come free, or this keeps happening you'll need to have your Airsoft weapon repaired. For more information your best bet is to get in contact with our Workshop, who will be able to help you out further. Hope this helps 🙂
My bb gun is not shooting very well, my friend says I need to oil it to make it work better?
BB gun performance can take quite a hit over time if it is not properly lubricated, and the internal parts can even be worn down from metal-on-metal contact. This is most common with Gearboxes which are not properly lubricated, and with gas blowback pistols. We recommend that after every skirmish with a Gas Blowback replica you strip the weapon down for cleaning, clear off all the remaining grease and clean away any dirt, then apply Abbey Silicon Lube to all the moving parts, and spray a little Abbey Silicon Spray Lube down the nozzle. Pay particular attention to any bits which seem to be 'silvering' off, or where paint is wearing away, as these bits have not been properly lubed and have been rubbing together. For electric guns and gearbox we recommend that you have your weapon serviced every 6 or so months depending on the level of use which will require the gearbox to be stripped. We recommend that you get in contact with our Workshop who will be able to help you out further. Hope this helps 🙂
I want to make my bb gun shoot better, what can I do???
Here at Patrol Base we have an in-house workshop team who spend their days upgrading and repairing weapons. They can make suggestions on what to improve based on what gun you have and what you're looking to achive. We can do anything from increasing range and accuracy, to high speed and DMR weapon setups, and if you can think of it the chances are we've already done it! For more information your best bet is to get in contact with our Workshop, who will be able to help you out further. Hope this helps 🙂
I want to make my gun less powerful, can you do this?
We can downgrade any weapon we have on our website! We usually have to do this for Germany where weapons are only legal in semi-only, and for Ireland where you can only have BB guns and Airsoft replicas which shoot under 320fps. We've had a lot of practice, and downgraded almost every type of gun! For more information your best bet is to get in contact with our Workshop, who will be able to help you out further. Hope this helps 🙂
I can't make it to your shop, can I post you my gun for upgrades instead?
Absolutely! After a chat with the Workshop you can send us your bb gun and we can look at it for you. Once the job is complete we can send it right back to you through our courier services! For more information your best bet is to get in contact with our Workshop, who will be able to help you out further. Hope this helps 🙂
